The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. This new role is for a Strategist and Communicator that will help the 1WF Team drive PVSI & Wells Fargo's transformational roadmap and articulate our progress in a compelling way. This role is more agile and action-oriented than traditional strategic consulting, with the goal of delivering insights and strategic perspectives quickly to support the pace of and scope of change needed to transform the company. The nature of these strategies will vary and include cross-business opportunity areas and cross-functional teams.
A successful candidate will be a forward thinker and strategic experience, a self-driven individual with a broad skillbase, business acumen, and exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills. The candidate will also ideally have experience creating both executive and customer-facing communications, and executing these with accurate brand standards and voice. He/she will also have experience partnering with senior management to connect strategies across multiple groups, refining thinking and focus, and gaining buy-in on direction and priorities.
Additional responsibilities include (but may not be limited to) the following:
- Conducting competitive assessments, consumer research, financial analysis, and industry research as an input to understanding Wells Fargo's relative position and to determine future strategy
- Supporting the evaluation of strategic options and development of recommendations for projects that are enterprise-wide (e.g. surveying trends in the marketplace and assessing how we should respond) or specific to a specific area of Wells Fargo
- Supporting the development of ad-hoc executive communications for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives

2+ years of strategic planning experience; or a Master's degree or higher in fields such as business, finance, or economics
Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Other Desired Qualifications
3+ year’s strategic planning, business intelligence, customer, project management and/or program management experience
Previous experience analyzing metrics and articulating data trends, including data automation and data modeling
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
Ability to see and communicate the big picture while maintaining strong attention to detail
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adjust workload due to changes in business priority
Demonstrated interest in innovation and technology trends
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
Min: $74,600 Mid: $105,000
