- High School Diploma or GED
Under the supervision of the FNS Supervisor, the FNS Aide performs a variety of patient/customer food service functions in one or more of the following areas: cafeteria, patient tray side, nourishments, catering, as well as other related tasks in accordance with department/organizational goals and objective and in compliance with current laws and regulations.
Prepares position area(s) for each meal as assigned and assure sanitation of such area(s) before, during and after meal service.
Prepares, portion, service and/or deliver meal/noursishment/snacks to patients, staff, guests and visitors in an attractive, appetizing manner as specified while practicing safe food handling methods.
Delivers to and retrieve food from food carts to patients/resident floors as specified.
Prepares, set-up, deliver and retrieve catering function items to function rooms as specified in an efficient, courteous manner maintaining quality standards at all times.
Socks and refill as necessary any service ware, condiments, food/beverage/paper item needed before, during and after meal service.
Maintains appropriate equipment temperature logs (refrigerator, freezer) on daily basis.
High School diploma preferred but not required.
Prior experience of food service, preferable in health care/institutional setting desired, but not necessary.
