Verastem is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual for the position of Regional Business Director.
In this role, you will:
The Regional Business Director is responsible for the development of sales strategies and achievement of sales objectives within a determined geography. This position is also responsible for the management and development of 6-8 Oncology Account Specialists, market activities, and company resources within a given geographic area that are directed specifically at maximizing territory, area and national sales goals and market share objectives.
The RBD will effectively manage 6-8 Oncology Account Specialists toward achievement of sales and market share goals through coaching, training, motivation, skill development and teamwork
Interact with Sales Leadership and Product Management to establish field sales implementation strategies that ensure proper product positioning within the marketplace.
Successfully interact with all Verastem departments to ensure field implementation of strategies to
Provide consistent and accurate expectations and feedback to Oncology Account Specialists as part of an ongoing performance assessment using measurable outcomes.
Design and maintain personal growth programs for Oncology Account Specialists that are focused on corporate, territory, and individual development goals.
Initiate developmental and training programs for Oncology Account Specialists
In some areas, significant overnight travel is required.
Applying for or accepting an RBD position assumes that appropriate travel is not an obstacle.
Must possess the ability to observe and assess job knowledge and skill requirements and develop first-hand knowledge of sales dynamics with key customers.
RBDs will be expected to build and maintain relationships with key customers, GPO leadership and KOLs throughout their respective regions.
RBDs will be expected to attend POA meetings, national conference and congresses throughout the year.
Ability to manage promotion budget spend for regional team.

Demonstrated sales leadership ability with a proven track record as a manager.
Strong Clinical selling skills knowledge with a strong level of business acumen.

Mastery in CRM/SFA technologies.
The ideal candidate will have the following required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Minimum of 8-10 years experience in pharmaceutical sales in Oncology, Hematology, or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
A minimum of 3-5 years of sales management experience in Oncology, Hematology, or specialty pharmaceutical field.
Proven and consistent past sales record as a high to exceptional performer.
Must provide evidence of leadership skills and successful contributions outside immediate team (i.e., training, mentoring, process development, etc.)
A demonstrated high degree of proficiency in managing and leading multiple projects.
Proven presentation, coaching, and teaching skills.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quota goals as a manager.
A valid and current driver's license with current auto insurance which meets VSTM policy requirements.
The Regional Business Director will travel extensively; the average travel for this position is 40-50% with some variation based upon geography and the demands of the business imperatives. Occasional travel to sales meetings and corporate headquarters in Needham, MA is required.
