We are looking for a Senior UX Lead to envision and implement excellent end user experience around a dynamic SaaS-based product that is in the process of being built from scratch.

This critical role is an opportunity to own the user experience function and has a major impact on a SaaS-based product at a well-funded and successful Boston based start-up. We are seeking a sharp and passionate UX talent who has a strategic and creative vision while 100% hands on.

Skills:
Develop UX/IA documentation such as site outlines, process flows, sketches, scenarios, personas, wireframes, and navigation models for our solutions
Create and effectively present UX deliverables (wireframes, workflows, prototypes, etc.) to explain and negotiate design solutions to key stakeholders
Assess data from multiple sources (product requirements, tech constraints, UX research, web analytics and industry trends) and synthesize to develop efficient user scenarios, taxonomies, classification schemes, navigation systems and design patterns
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Visual Designers, Developers, UX Content and other stakeholders to determine user interface needs. Maintain working knowledge about emerging user interface/interaction design standards and best practices

  • Use a data-driven approach and analysis for design experiences
Partner with our Prototyping and Development Team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation
Review applications throughout the development lifecycle to ensure the integrity of information architecture and usability guidelines

Requirements:
Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into interaction design solutions.
5+ years of experience as a Senior Information Architect, Interaction Designer, User Experience Designer, or similar role.
Hands-on experience building wireframes and mock-ups.
Experience producing detailed wireframes, site outlines, process flows, and navigation models in a thorough, clean, and concise way using industry standard tools (Axure, Visio, OmniGraffle, InDesign, or a similar program).
Ability to cut through ambiguity and use good organizational skills.
A passion for being the voice of the user and a proven track-record building user-centric solution.
Experience working with teams in multiple software project methods such as Agile SDLC.
Online portfolio displaying a firm understanding of user-centered design processes and information architecture principles will be great.
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Interaction, Graphic or Interface Design.
Experience working with SaaS applications (preferred).
