As a Tax Debt Resolution Case Manager at Jackson Hewitt, you will be an integral part of launching a new national business to help clients resolve their tax debt with the IRS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Tax Debt Resolution Case Manager, you will:
  • Manage the client relationship throughout the tax debt resolution process
  • Work with clients to develop an understanding of their current tax debt situation
  • Complete individual tax returns as necessary for clients
  • Amended returns to reduce or eliminate IRS underlying bill as necessary
  • Research and develop strategies to defend the taxpayer’s position
  • Work with government agencies to ensure security from any collection enforcement to prevent levies
  • Conduct financial analysis of taxpayer’s income, expenses, and assets
  • Assemble documents to be presented to government agencies
  • Interact with clients, resolution managers, and other departments
  • Prioritize case load and assignments
  • Up to date credentials as an Enrolled Agent preferred
REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years working in the tax preparation business completing federal and state tax returns, researching and correcting errors in tax returns, providing taxpayers with tax advice as needed
  • 2+ years working in an office environment
  • Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
  • Up to date credentials as an Enrolled Agent preferred
  • Excellent client service record and mentality
  • Proficient and comfortable with computers and new software (ability to learn intuitive tax debt resolution software)
  • Proficient word processor
  • Maintain professional credentials
