PEX is a business prepaid card software platform launched specifically to help companies streamline employee expense management. As the first turnkey commercial card program, the PEX Prepaid Visa Card program provides customers with online tools for budgeting and controlling pre-funded deposits that employees use for daily spending. Through business prepaid card transactions, the PEX Card Service provides visibility into cash flow while simultaneously maximizing oversight and managing risk. SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the AVP Web Operations and Infrastructure, the Network and Linux Systems Engineer has the responsibility of creating and managing technology infrastructure to support the growth of our SaaS platform. This role calls for a well-rounded IT professional with a strong ability to solve technical issues and understand complex software relationships with the systems they work on.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will design, engineer, deploy, document, implement, and manage the switching and upstream network connectivity as well as corporate network infrastructure solutions based on company needs and strategy.

You will design, engineer, deploy, document, implement, and manage the Linux server environment while maintaining PCI DSS compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work ethic: proactive, independent contributor, self-motivated, passionate about technology
  • 5+ years Linux system administration
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco switching and firewalls
  • 3+ years Scripting experience
  • Expert knowledge of Linux Operating System
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Switching
  • Strong Knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewalls
  • Experience implementing and using iSCSI storage
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience (CPU, Memory, Disk Performance, etc.)
  • Experience and comfort researching and recommending solutions to the team collaboratively
  • File security, permissions and auditing
  • Advanced DNS Administration and troubleshooting
  • Expert Layer 2 and 3 troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Experience implementing monitoring and using custom and deep level monitors used for alerting (Zabbix preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process for compliance

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Payments environment experience // PCI DSS
  • Certifications in: Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, Linux or VMWare
  • SIEM Logging or real time event correlation and alerting
  • Zabbix Monitoring (or something similar)
  • Two-Factor authentication
