The Communication and Marketing Coordinator participates as a member of the Division of Student Affairs Communication team. This position will be responsible for implementing multiple communication campaigns across a variety of internal and external audiences, including students, CU Boulder families, CU Boulder faculty & staff and division personnel. Communication campaigns will include content creation and design for print, email, digital, web, and social platforms.
The Communication & Marketing Coordinator ensures that all content is professional, compelling, accurate, audience appropriate and conforms to AP and university branding and style guidelines. This position requires excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, project management, creativity and communications skills.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Communications and Marketing
Coordinate and implement multiple communication and marketing campaigns through a variety of channels including web, email, social media, digital, and print.
Ensure that all media platforms are fully utilized and coordinated with larger division campaigns by working collaboratively with other members of Student Affairs Communication team.
Build, design, review and deploy communication tactics for a variety of campaigns.
Assess communications for efficiency and engagement.
Understand the relationship between design, content, and user experience and therefore adapts content as needed for each medium and audience.
Review and edit thoroughly all communication pieces at each phase of the creation and deployment process.
Identify appropriate uses for videos and photos in the overarching communication plan.
Maintain strong brand identity across all communication and marketing materials.
Work with departments within the Division of Student Affairs and campus partners to develop web content that is consistent with strategic initiatives and branding.
Stay abreast of industry developments to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities including changes in regulations, technology, and standard methodologies.
Attend Student Affairs Communicators meetings regularly to provide project updates and to stay educated on other division priorities and projects.

Salary Range Starts at $46,000 commensurate with experience.

What We Require
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
2 years of experience creating content for marketing and communications campaigns.
What You Will Need
Outstanding interpersonal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience creating for diverse outlets (web, print, social media) and audiences.
Experience creating content for diverse audiences (students, faculty, staff, broader community members)
Experience working with team collaborations in a marketing/communications environment.
What We Would Like You To Have
Experience creating content for various communications channels, including long and short-form articles, web, social media and print materials.
A bachelor’s or master's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, English, or closely related field.
Strong knowledge of AP Style.
Experience using email distribution platforms.
Experience with customer relations management systems.
Experience using CSS, HTML and/or a content management system, preferably Drupal.
Experience working in Higher Ed or student-focused organization.
