Full Job Description
Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare the monthly general ledger accounting close for 2 hotels and a restaurant
Perform bank reconciliations and daily cash balancing
Prepare weekly and monthly management reports
Reconcile travel agent bank account manually
Record and reconcile credit card commissions
Calculate management fees
Prepare monthly account reconciliations (balance sheet accounts)
Income Statement Analytics (month over month, year over year)
Provide assistance to address review comments on the monthly financials
Assist Accounting Manager with various other duties as needed
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
Thorough understanding of GAAP
Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure
Team player, with a positive attitude, pro-active and owns accountability
2-3 years’ experience in an accounting role preferable in hospitality
BA/BS or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
