Role Summary:

This role requires significant knowledge of and experience with A/V and Unified Communication systems. The individual will lead and manage technical projects, analyze client needs, provide scope of work accountability and assign deliverables. This individual will partner and consult with account managers and their clients and provide technical business solutions, including hardware recommendations, software, professional services, and managed services.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as technical expert and account management support resource for internal staff and
  • Manage projects before and after sales, including on-site surveys, customer demos/trials, design, Statement of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) development and CAD drawings
  • Collaborate with the account management team to assess projects, including labor and pricing
  • Work side by side with complimentary trade partners such as architects, interior designers, general contractors, electricians, lighting and furniture integrators
  • Work with our customers and with cross-functional team members as an experienced, self-directed hands-on technical expert focused on assisting in pre and post sales opportunities
  • Work close with sub-contractors and internal teams in the field
  • Drive standards-based solutions with recommended maintenance and managed services
  • Apply AutoCad drawing proficiencies, including Basic Elevations, A/V Electrical, Structured Cabling, As Built, Rack Layouts, Block Diagrams, System Schematics, Control Programming Screen Layouts
  • Promote sales training and education to increase product, technology and solution knowledge

Experience Required:

  • Background in A/V system integration engineering, design and installation (3+ years )
  • Standards-based video conferencing and unified communications experience with systems, such as: Cisco, Polycom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, BlueJeans, Pexip, etc
  • Understanding of Maintenance and Managed Services
  • Computer networking for AV systems
  • Proven knowledge of installation techniques per National Electric Code (NEC) requirements
  • Analytical ability to assess labor and create BOM and SOW; construction and base building knowledge
  • Strong vendor and client management skills; cooperate and collaborate with internal and contracted technicians, programmers and support personnel
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, including mentoring and human resource development

Education/Experience Preferred:

  • BS/BA preferred
  • Background in programming systems, (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
  • CTS-D certification not required but preferred
  • CCNP not required but preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License:

  • CCNP (Preferred)
