Job Overview:
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with psychiatric disorders. This role offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities.
- Part-Time: 2 days per week (10-15 hours)
- Full-Time: 5-6 days per week (25-33 hours)
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with other mental health professionals, including therapists and case managers, to provide comprehensive, holistic care for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses of clients.
- Provide psychotherapy or medication management as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and quality care.
- Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with state regulations and agency policies.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing mental health care.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry.
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered APRN license in the state of Georgia.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric mental health care, preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Proficient in prescribing psychotropic medications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality mental health care.
- Must pass a criminal background check and provide references.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $90 - $100 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Flexible Schedule: Choose part-time (10-15 hours over 2 days per week) or full-time (25-33 hours over 5-6 days per week).
