OVERVIEW

We're looking for someone as excited as we are about Fintech as we are. At YayPay, we’re creating the fastest, easiest and most highly predictive B2B solution for collecting money and need help doing it.

As Director of People and Culture and our first hire in this function, you will be responsible for all major components of the Company's Human Resource function. Our people and company culture are the cornerstones of our success so you'll lead the charge in ensuring that we have the best recruiting strategy, performance, compensation and retention plans, training and development and company culture.

You're a builder by nature, have a burning desire to create something much larger than yourself and are willing to get your hands dirty and work tirelessly to do so.

Reporting into the CEO, the ideal candidate must possess solid and all rounded human resource skills. The candidate must be experienced in managing all aspects of people and culture that drive the success of a fast-paced startup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and manage all People Strategy Programs, including recruiting and retention, benefits & payroll, office environment, people policies, performance reviews, Intern/Co-op Programs, mentorship, training and development programs, employee engagement surveys and action plans, company off-sites, and more.
Launch YayPay’s first company culture program
Build effective relationships and partnerships to raise YayPay brand awareness from a candidate and recruiting perspective.
Operate at the highest levels of integrity and build trust with every team member.
Mentor team members on all aspects of their careers at YayPay.
Participate in projects and initiatives assigned by other departments and/or Leadership team as needed.
Live our core values and brand promise in everything you do. You will be the walking, talking embodiment of our core values and brand promise.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of work experience as an HR professional in a cutting edge environment or relevant generalist people experience in a fast paced environment
Highly creative mindset and exhibit passion for people, consistent high energy and enthusiasm.
Self-starter; well organized, detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing numerous tasks in order to meet strict deadlines.
Excellent planning, organization and follow-through skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels within an organization.
Proven record of going the extra mile, over-achievement.
Technology savvy (i.e. Zoom, Google apps, Huddle, MS Office, wiki, etc.)
Strong judgment and ability to keep confidential information confidential.
Ability to learn quickly & engage, challenge and motivate others.
A can-do attitude and belief that no task is too big or too small.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
SHRM certified HR Professional is an advantage

SALARY RANGE

Range is $130k to $150k plus bonus.
