Supports JCCC’s campus accessible technology in coordination with the ADA Compliance Officer, Academic Support Division, Information Services, and other areas as needed. Significant focus for this position will be on working with faculty on accessibility needs using our Canvas LMS. Works with faculty and staff on web accessibility analyses and consultations, and provides trainings on using assistive technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication and advanced problem solving skills are needed. Collaboration with the team members within educational technology, access services and the JCCC community is crucial to this position.
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient in use of a variety of computer programs and have understanding of Learning Management Systems
The employee must be able to multitask, work with interruptions, and possess excellent communication and problem solving skills
Familiarity with assistive technology, captioning, CART, Audio Description and other assistive technology hardware and software
Working knowledge of technology used in notetaking
