Walsh is currently seeking a Building Enclosure Specialist to support our Building Division. This position can be based out of our Chicago, IL or Irving, TX office.

Conduct project specific training, with project teams, for specified/purchased building enclosure systems. Highlight any building enclosure details that may be subject to difficult installation/coordination or that are often installed incorrectly. Promotes the importance of building enclosure quality in alignment with corporate strategy.
Conduct periodic field inspections of in place work and mock ups related to project building enclosure systems at building construction sites. Participate in building enclosure failure/deficiency investigations.
Assist project teams in the review and enhancement of project specific subcontractor work plans related to building enclosure systems.
Assist project teams in the development of project specific building enclosure self-inspection check lists.
Maintain high degree of building enclosure technical knowledge through continuing education and attendance at live or virtual conferences/programs with content on building enclosures. Involvement in trade organizations geared toward building enclosures (BEC, ABAA, IMI, etc).
Routinely audit projects for compliance with internal building enclosure quality program.
Make recommendations to Quality Director for new or updated quality assurance measures to combat repeat errors related to building enclosures.
Coordinates with BGLs, Business Group Operations Managers, service providers, and Project Managers to ensure seamless application of building enclosure quality programs.
Provides advanced leadership to drive development of staff with respect to building enclosure expertise.
Professional Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in AEC program (preferably Architecture)
Preferred Professional Registration in Architecture
Minimum 20 years of experience in AEC with minimum 10 years specifically devoted to building enclosure related consulting
Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time
Must be a proficient public speaker, presenter, and trainer
Travel required to project sites, regional field offices, and educational conferences within the US.
