Regional Director, Franchise Operations
AREA OF INTEREST
The Regional Director is responsible for the overall implementation, quality, value, and cost-effectiveness of customer service and support provided to franchisees and stores.
Proactively lead assigned stores and franchisees through continuous improvement of our operational standards and consulting approaches.
Maintain overall responsibility for the performance, quality, value, and cost-effectiveness of the assigned territory's support system.
Supervise a team of Franchise Business Consultants (FBCs) and Senior Regional Managers (SRMs) and
oversee support services to all stores assigned.
Where appropriate, work directly with franchisees requiring assistance beyond that typically provided by other department personnel.
Collaborate with Marketing to increase same store sales and achieve system sales goals.
Work with the Franchising Sales and Real Estate Departments on location awarding process. Assist in matching store locations with approved franchisees.
Interview new franchisee candidates and provide approval recommendation to Director of Franchising.
Develop and maintain regional budget. Coach FBCs to meet or exceed budgetary expectations.
Work with Vice - President, Store Support and appropriate personnel on projects relevant to franchise operations.
Monitor day-to-day franchise compliance within Auntie Anne's stores in assigned region. Work with the Legal Department to resolve any ongoing store-level compliance Issues.
Maintain quality of communication between home office departments and regional staff.
Maintain, as required, ongoing written communication to franchisees and their managers.
Work with all other departments as they work with the FBCs. Also, assist other departments in resolving conflicts with franchisees where appropriate.
Lead committees, serve on action teams, and manage initiatives as assigned.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise all Franchise Business Consultants and Senior Regional Managers within assigned territory.
Minimum of bachelor's degree from four-year college/university; minimum three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in working with or within a franchise system
Extensive experience with retail systems and operations
Ability to identify and effectively act on opportunities for beneficial change in a professional setting
Excellent verbal, written communications, and public presentation skills
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
Excellent computer skills; intermediate-level mastery of Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel frequently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
Must be able to successfully complete all training as required by Auntie Anne's, Inc.
Must have strong typing skills.
Must be able to travel by car and plane (and perhaps other modes of transportation) without difficulty.
Must be able to see, hear, and talk to communicate as required by the position.
Must be able to perform all duties associated with working in an Auntie Anne's store.
