The Showroom Outside Sales Representative will generate showroom sales including, developing and coordinating new business and managing new and existing customer relationships while helping customers in choosing electrical and plumbing fixtures or related items for kitchens, baths, and recreational areas.

Responsibilities Include:
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors through effective communication and collaboration.
-
Manage customer orders, including writing orders, overseeing submittal, shipping, expediating, billing, and resolving any issues that arise.

Conduct market research and analysis to inform market planning, strategy implementation, and lead generation.
-
Engage in sales activities such as prospecting, presenting, demonstrating, negotiating, and closing sales.
-
Provide feedback on pricing, service, products, customer needs, and handle customer feedback and follow-up.
-
Participate in sales meetings, vendor training, and collaborate with other departments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
-
Act as a project manager for the client throughout the construction stage, including coordinating the design on-site while working with architects and other design professionals.

Manage territory, document sales activities, and contribute to training and development efforts to enhance team performance.

Provide support at the showroom by filling in during vacations and other times when they are short staffed.
Qualifications:
-
Associates degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the construction industry.
-
Interior design experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to write briefs, promote and explain ideas, and build relationships with clients.
- An awareness of building and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of the wider construction and design industries.
- Project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Perform assigned duties with minimal personal supervision.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
