The FP&A Intern will provide overall assistance in the budgeting and forecasting processes. This individual will provide accurate, timely and insightful financial and operational analysis, provide relevant analysis of key performance metrics, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities within Financial Planning & Analysis. You will also play a role in the development of new reporting (both management & financial), financial analysis models, forecasting models and planning models. This position will report directly to the Manager, FP&A.

YOUR FOCUS (JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Categorize key expense issues and opportunities by analyzing financial statements and reports
Identify, understand, analyze and provide insight into key performance metrics
Complete significant ad hoc analysis on all areas of the business as requested by the Manager FP&A, Director FP&A, and VP FP&A
Perform ad hoc budget analysis to ensure accuracy, maximize savings, challenge expense assumptions and meet corporate expense goals
Collaborate with the accounting team to improve cost tracking accuracy to improve the forecasting, planning and analytical work products
Play an important role in cost out process by profiling spend
Recognize process improvements within the Financial Planning Department, including but not limited to report reduction, process automation, improved use of technology, improved communication and data hand-off, and documentation of key assumptions
Develop process documentation
YOUR BACKGROUND (REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS)

You are a driven self-starter that can maintain focus, accuracy, and composure during high-expectation situations. We are looking for the FP&A Intern to also bring the following:

Working towards a bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
Previous experience in Finance / Accounting roles preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
(unless accommodations are required/requested for an employee under the ADA)
