The NSX Network Engineer will be a member of the Network Engineering technology leadership team responsible for the design, standup, and ongoing implementations of virtual networking, segmentation, load-balancing and other NSX-T capabilities across VMWare and VMC platforms

Your Work Falls into These Primary Categories:
Network
Designing and building secure, reliable and scalable NSX-T virtual networks across VMWare and VMC environments, connectivity and integrations with Arista spine/leaf, Colo, public cloud etc

Automation
NSX implementations will be performed through a structured and automated process using an IaC and CI/CD approach

Security
Implementation of VMWare security controls and rules for segmentation working in close collaboration with the Information Security team

Mentoring
Work closely with the Network Engineering Operations team to provide informal training and education

Qualifications

10+ yrs experience combined background w 3+ recent yrs focused around VMWare NSX virtual networking, security and automation
Networking background in Route/Switch, Firewall, Load-Balancing, BGP, VXLAN
Expertise in VMware NSX-T running in production environment
VMware NSX firewall expertise and using NSX for segmentation
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, managing, maintaining VMware NSX-T, NSX Managers, NSX Controllers etc
Experience with NSX-T monitoring and tooling
Experience with Hybrid Cloud Connectivity (HCX)
Experience with NSX automation tools vRA, Ansible etc
Understanding of Agile, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Use of CI/CD pipeline to support configuration releases, Git, Jenkins etc
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Yaml, JSON, Powershell
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and basic admin functions
