SUMMARY:
To efficiently manage available resources both human and equipment. Perform functions to supervise daily operations of bulk department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build a strong, achievement-oriented team by using the appropriate mix of hiring, delegation, training, monitoring, feedback, coaching, motivation, mentoring, and employee retention techniques.
Prioritize work for bulk processing area according to production schedule and sales forecast.
Supervise production and laboratory processes to assure efficient use of manpower, machines, materials, and space.
Ensure adherence to applicable quality and manufacturing standards.
Troubleshoot product quality problems and other quality issues in the production process.
Provide technical assistance to subordinates in resolution of problems.
Write certificate of analysis documentation for bulk shipments.
Create employee work schedules to meet the manpower needs of the production schedule.
Oversee maintenance of a safe and clean work environment.
Complete required production reports on a regular basis.
Responsible for Food Quality, Safety and Legality.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Associate degree is preferred, Bachelor degree is desirable.
A minimum of 2 - 4 yrs. experience Supervisory experience, bottling, liquid filling, blending, and/or packaging industries desirable.
Must be well organized, results oriented, & have effective problem-solving ability.
Must possess strong leadership & team building skills.
Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
Must be computer literate - Microsoft Office Programs & AS 400 is desirable.
Must be a self-starter and work without supervision.
Good organizational skills.
Show good judgment and sound reasoning skills.
Must be able to monitor packaging supplies and communicate restocking needs.
Ability to delegate authority.
