The Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management will lead the relationship and own the P&L for one or more private label and/or cobrand credit card portfolios in Citi Retail Services’ Specialty Partners Group (SPG). This individual will be chartered with developing deep partner and internal relationships, aligning goals, and driving profitable business growth and financial success for the partner and Citi. The role will report directly to the General Manager for SPG Corporate Partnerships and will be located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Own single strategic portfolio P&L or combined portfolio of multiple partnerships, including individual partner P&Ls
Own partner relationships, leading engagement with senior partner counterparts
Lead partner negotiations, including contractual amendments
Oversee adherence to contracts
Drive short-term and long-term strategic vision, direction, and business plan for partnerships
Manage team of direct report(s) and COE peers to deliver on strategic and financial commitments
Collaborate with internal teams and partners to identify and implement strategies, initiatives, and technology enhancements to achieve goals
Inspire and empower team to work collaboratively to achieve superior results
Bring the best of Citi and knowledge of industry and market trends to drive value for partners and portfolio growth
Translate strategy into effective business plans while proactively overcoming obstacles
Appropriately assess risk / reward relationships when making business decisions, balancing customer, partner, and Citi needs
Monitor retail environment, credit card space, and market trends to inform strategies and ensure portfolio competitiveness
Assist with business development efforts
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance. MBA desirable
P&L ownership experience
10+ years of experience showing increasing responsibility in relationship management, marketing, finance, or business strategy, with at least 5+ years in a partner-facing role
Private label credit or bankcard industry experience preferred
Dealer experience a plus for dealer vertical roles
Previous people management experience preferred
Past history leading cross-functional teams
