  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
  • 5+ years relevant experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results
  • 3+ years’ experience directly supervising teams and developing people
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)
  • Ability to travel; 10%+ travel expected, primarily to local operations, in addition to regional support
  • 3+ year’s familiarity with concepts of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member of the WW Operations Finance FP&A team. This FP&A position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the WW Operations Finance and Retail Finance team. This includes, among other things, responsibility for providing insights to retail teams on operation costs and identifying savings opportunities. This individual will be a trusted finance advisor to both Retail and Operations teams and an active member of the Operations Finance leadership team. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a large, complex, rapidly-growing global organization. Project management experience is also required.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Be an expert in managing data in financials and create insightful analysis to drive business improvement. Develop financial metrics to be actionable, and guide region finance teams in rhythms of business
  • Develop automated and scalable solutions in building financial metrics and variance analysis by working with the tech/BI team
  • Join Retail GM reviews and planning, and provide Opex guidance to product lines
  • Work with region Operations Finance teams in identifying the improvement opportunities in current processes, including month end close, Opex and capital planning. Partnering with the tech team in Seattle, define and develop tools and systems that allow the team achieve greater efficiency
  • MBA and/ or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate) + relevant experience
  • Management experience with demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to take on and create new assignments
  • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate those analysis
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
  • Manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems a plus
