Job Description and Qualifications
Do you have a passion for numbers and a desire to work with a growing company? Come join our team as a Senior Accountant. We are currently searching for the ideal candidate to support our Design Department with day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have a passion for helping others, be highly organized, and possess the skills to perform the essential job responsibilities below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Supervise Interior Design Accounting Staff
Work closely with Interior Designers to correctly track, code, and bill clients for hours and related expenses
Assist with monitoring and maintaining budgets
Month end accounting processes, sales tax, and revenue reports
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement for Interior Design department
Assist with 1099 preparation and administration
Assist with preparation of Year-End closing
Assist with schedule preparation and report generation for annual review
Assist in reconciling Physical Inventory count
Ability to develop processes to streamline and integrate accounting and Interior Design administrative functions
Work with Interior Design software support to resolve problems and make enhancements

Must comply with all company policies and procedures, and regular consistent attendance is required
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a major in accounting
3 -5 years of accounting and/or business experience
Must possess good organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to quickly learn techniques and functions of Interior Design software to perform accounting and administrative tasks efficiently

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires ability to read and comprehend a variety of documentation, directions, instructions, methods and procedures
Requires the ability to prepare and complete reports and forms with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with Studio or other Interior Design software is preferred but not required
Must have the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to perform accounting/financial duties satisfactorily

Must possess the ability to communicate complicated accounting principles in simpler terms

90% of job is sitting while using computer and must be able to lift 25 lbs.
