Summary: We are looking to expand our talented team in the Aurora, Colorado area, specifically for a Information Security Systems Engineer on our FADE program.

More About the Role:
The Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) provides subject matter expertise and analysis to clients and customers alike. The role of the ISSE is to bridge the gap between high level security policies/procedures and technical/operational implementation of those requirements. In addition, you will:

Work collaboratively to analyze problems and identify solutions.
Be responsible to conduct assessments of existing IT architecture for compliance with security requirements from applicable security frameworks (such as NIST, DCID, NISPOM, RMF, etc.).
Create documentation to support information system assessment and authorization packages.
Provide continuous monitoring support for information systems.
Develop IT architecture deliverables, specific to information security countermeasure implementations, for operational systems and systems under development.
Develop IT security policies, standards, and guidance.
Become an expert in information technology, technical writing, and project management.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Experience in Designs, develops, implements and/or integrates IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements.
Builds IA into systems deployed to operational environments. Assists architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of Agency security policy and enterprise solutions
Supports the building of security architectures. Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
Successfully balance security requirements with operational needs
Expert knowledge of federal security requirements and mandates (e.g., RMF, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), National Standards of Information Technology (NIST)
In depth experience with Department of Defense (DoD) information technology with first hand experience involving Defense Security Service (DSS) NISPOM/RMF process
Experience working on DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) across multiple operating systems and applications
Apply system security engineering expertise to various client programs/processes (e.g., system security design process, engineering life cycle, information domain and cross domain solutions, identification / authentication / authorization of commercial off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf software employment, system integration, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, certification and accreditation process, principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control, security testing)
Working knowledge of automated security testing tools (i.e. ACAS, Retina, GAUNTLT, ZAP, SCAP, etc.)
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level 2 certification
Current ACITVE Top Secret/SCI Clearance with current SSBI

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
DoD 8500-series and 8510.01 IA policy directives, approaches to cyber security, knowledge of security procedures, IATO and ATO requirements
Familiarity with cloud based deployments (AWS knowledge preferred)
Working knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps mentality

Additional BITS Information:
BITS benefits are unique. Basically, BITS benefits equate to 50% of salary on TOP of your base salary. The first part is a tax-qualified profit sharing retirement plan to which BITS annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account under the plan. The second part consists of BITS' Individual Benefit Account (IBA), which is used for premiums, medical reimbursements, dependent care, education and Paid Time Off (PTO) policy. Both components of the BITS benefit package are paid for by BITS in addition to your base salary and potential performance bonuses.
