Based at Arkema's Corporate Office and R&D Center in King of Prussia, PA, the Senior Technical Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and expertise to customers Arkema's Fluorochemicals business unit and feedback on customer and market needs for solutions. The Senior Technical Service Engineer provides technical expertise by establishing equipment specifications for new and existing Arkema products, trends in new equipment and refrigerants and identification of market opportunities and challenges.
Specific job activities include (but are not limited to):
Offer technical assistance to customers regarding the use of Arkema’s products in their equipment.
Support the introduction and technical sales of new Arkema products or technologies to targeted customers.
Provide applications related technical assistance and provide feedback on customer and market needs.
Provide sampling and field trial support for new products and customers
Help ensure that all customers prepare for proper stewardship of new products by providing specific training, assistance and performing audits as appropriate.
Assist in the resolution of related customer complaints by using root cause analysis
Liaise with Arkema corporate HES and regulatory groups on new products for Arkema Americas
Gather, summarize and communicate pertinent technical marketing intelligence collected in meetings with customers, publications such as trade magazines, Internet and in appropriate trade association meetings.
Participate and present Arkema products and technical support at tradeshows and conferences.
Facilitate integration of technical information into strategic customer account review
Remain aware of latest developments in customer equipment design and trends.
Business travel is expected to be roughly 25% of the time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of HVAC or refrigeration equipment design and refrigerant manufacturing.
General knowledge of HVAC/R market, customers, codes and standards
Strong organization and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required.
Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
