SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager. This role is responsible for performing all aspects of Human Resource Functions in accordance with SMG policies and procedures, as well as to provide support to the Executive Director of Human Resources in the Employee Relations function of the company.
Salary ranges from $50,000-$60,000.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for full cycle recruitment for all employment levels within the corporate office. This will include placing advertisements (both internally and externally), assessing resumes, phone screening, face-to-face interviews, resume searches, cold calling, etc
Responsible for assisting the field with recruitment (primarily Director Level and above). This will include placing advertisements (externally) and assessing resumes and conducting phone screenings as needed
Conducts pre-employment checks including reference, background and credit checks
Provide assistance in creating job postings and interviewing techniques to field HR Designees
Prepare and maintain job descriptions for corporate personnel, as well as a job description library, for all SMG facilities
Serves as the SME for the field on our ATS System (ADP RM)
Prepare and track Offer Letters and New Hire Paperwork for all Director Level and Above Employees
Oversee and administer the companies Relocation Plan
Oversee and coordinate the companies Salary Administration Process
Responsible for tracking Corporate Attendance and PTO
Coordinate and distribute a Quarterly HR Newsletter to the field
Responsible coordinating and maintaining the HR Corporate Bi-Monthly Report
Ensures compliance with SMG Human Resources policies and procedures, legal requirements and government regulations affecting human resources functions
Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment matters
Maintains and compiles departmental reports weekly, monthly, and as otherwise directed
Assist with HR projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requires solid understanding of staffing and recruiting programs and related compliance issues
Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources Administration
Working knowledge with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, AAP, EEO and related state and federal regulations required
Must be a critical thinking and problem solver
A successful candidate will have superior organizational skills and must be able to work well independently and within a team
Excellent computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn an HRIS system required
Experience with ADP Enterprise, ADP e-Time and ADP RM preferred
This position requires excellent, and demonstrable, written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to maintain confidential information
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 + years recruiting experience required
1-2 years of administrative experience in a corporate environment strongly preferred
