POSITION SUMMARY: To help cultivate a church culture that is Christ centered, discipleship driven, and missionally focused through teaching, equipping, and strategic planning.

HOURS REQUIRED: 25 hours per week


  • Responsibility One: Develop Community Groups and Leaders (G3 Communities)
  • Train, equip, encourage current G3 leaders to ensure their success
  • Identify and recruit new or potential G3 leaders
  • Champion missional DNA and help G3 leaders plan monthly rhythms
  • Obtain “good stories” to pass along and celebrate on Sunday gatherings
  • Read about and research missional practices and new methods
  • Responsibility Two: Community Life Coordinating
  • Plan church-wide events to be strategically throughout the calendar year
  • Ensure events incorporate GATHER, GROW, GO rhythm
  • Help recruit leaders and volunteers needed to serve
  • Acquire the proper supplies and resources
  • Provide accurate details necessary to promote events
  • Responsibility Three: Worship and Teaching Team
  • Preach at Sunday gatherings every 3-5 weeks
  • Help with announcements, offering and communion
  • Help plan worship services and sermon series
  • Teach extension classes 2-3 times per year
  • Responsibility Four: Planning, Communication and Care
  • Attend staff team meetings biweekly
  • Meet campus pastor biweekly for updates and discussion
  • Involvement in the planning of church initiatives
  • Pastoral care as needed (visitation, funerals, weddings, etc.)


  • Demonstrates a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, attitude and lifestyle
  • Exhibits a ministry passion to help raise up leaders, and connect church members to greater level of community, discipleship and mission
  • Ability to teach: Possesses strong biblical understanding and commitment that is expressed in teaching during Sunday services, as well as through equipping G3 leaders in their own teaching and discipleship of those they lead.
  • Approachability: Is easy to approach and talk to; spends the extra effort to put others at ease; can be warm, pleasant, and gracious; is sensitive to and patient with the interpersonal anxieties of others; builds rapport well; is a good listener.
  • Relationships: Uses appropriate interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in the church and in the community; interacts with others in a personable, honest, genuine and collaborative manner, builds coalitions and partnerships to enhance effectiveness
  • Communication: Cleary conveys and receives information through a variety of outlets to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the listener, helps them understand and retain the message, and invites response and feedback. Keeps others informed as appropriate. Demonstrates good written, oral and listening skills.
  • Compassion: Genuinely cares about people; is concerned about others, available to help; is sympathetic to others not as fortunate; demonstrates real empathy with the joys and pains of others

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23,000.00 to $27,000.00 /year
