Pet Urgent Care (PUC) is the first Emergency-Only independent veterinary hospital serving Utah Valley and its surrounding areas. We provide after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency services, after-hours transfers, and 24-hour critical care monitoring over weekends and holidays. About the position

Our emergency veterinarians are responsible for all incoming emergency cases. They communicate well with clients, able to clearly explain the initial estimate and what needs to be done to help their animal. The veterinarians also help our clients understand the services needed for the benefit of their animal. Our veterinarians perform surgeries and take any ailment seriously.

Essential Functions

  • Examine and treat animals on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers and their animals through regular communication and excellent record-keeping
  • Educate clients on the importance of services provided to aid their pets
  • Perform or assist with surgeries
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed
  • Able to handle any crises that comes in the door
  • Provides clear and accurate estimates to the clients

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Doctorate Veterinary Medicine
  • 2 years veterinary experience
  • Experience with exotic animals a plus!
