Productivity Director

Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to model and articulate long-term business options, and make cases for investments, upgrades, or outsourcing
Acquires and maintains a deep understanding of our production strategies and capabilities
Works with operations leadership team providing guidance and insight of our capabilities and opportunities for enhancement. Capital project portfolio prioritization and optimization, as well improve the process by which we make capital investment decisions.
Develop in-house capabilities so that we are less reliant on our vendor base and involvement of a growing technical team to help drive and speed up the transformation Develop in house engineering capabilities to efficiently create detailed specification documents that can be utilized by external engineering, integration firms to accelerate productivity projects.
Work with Project Managers to scope and lead plant automation projects. This includes management of all aspects of the implementation including people, process, vendor management, and systems.
Provide leadership and input to major capital projects involving automation to ensure global automation standards and policies are followed
Works effectively across all levels of employees to influence CoorsTek’ s strategy development to address significant and complex long-term capital planning issues and opportunities

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering required. Advanced degree in Engineering or Business strongly preferred.
7 plus years of capital planning and execution experience, including significant experience leading major large automation projects
Management of team members and third-party vendors involving extensive interaction with cross-functional teams focused on the identification and delivery of new productivity/automation/robotics projects
Strong manufacturing & operational experience in a dynamic large company environment (i.e. multiple locations/international exposure)
Working knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools; robotic, vision/AOI, material handling, conveyors, HMI, Pick-Place-Pack, Inspection/Test, etc.
Working knowledge of industrial engineering discipline to ensure automation supports LEAN flow throughout the entire factory
Proven track record of delivering results, demonstrated business acumen and a deep understanding of robust business case development required
Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and objectives
Able to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment
Must be a change agent, ability to work in a matrix environment and build relationships with a variety of functions
Must have a bias for Action, Integrity, and Accountability

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Solid project management skills to effectively organize priorities and works under deadlines to produce high quality results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead change and drive results. System skills to organize data. Solution orientated mindset with a deep-seated desire and drive and optimize how we serve our customers.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally. Inquisitive, creative, proactive and innovativeness are must have attributes.
Ability to travel internationally/domestically up to 25% of the time
