This is a critical support role for VMware IT Database systems. Prior 24x7 production support experience is highly desirable.

What kind of talented individual are we looking for?
Thorough knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 9i, 10g, and 11g environments on Linux Environment
1-3 years experience leading a DBA team of 6-8 people.
Experience in project planning and implementation
10+ years experiences in performing Oracle database administration/support in Oracle EBS 11i and R12, Oracle RDBMS production environment.
Strong Oracle database and Oracle RAC implementations experience and troubleshooting skills in mission critical environment
Strong automation experience in Database provisioning, operations.
Well-rounded in standard methodologies to implement standards, processes, and procedures
Implementation experience in delivering high availability solutions
Well-rounded experience in backup and recovery solutions; off host and on host
Knowledgable in Oracle RMAN
Deep knowledge of OEM/Oracle Grid for 10g
Experienced in using Oracle ASM and file systems in managing database storage
Proven knowledge of database internals and data structures
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experiences in tuning of OLTP and Data Warehouse databases by using available tools, such as, STATSPACK or AWR Report
Excellent abilities in SQL/SQL*Plus and solid grasp of PL/SQL and stored procedures/packages
Very capable in scripting languages particularly in shell or Perl
Strong knowledge in configuring or maintaining DataGuard
Good communication skills and customer-support focused attitude
Strong knowledge of building database administration processes and controls to meet security and compliance audit requirements for SOX, PCI and ISO17001
Ability to document and implement database administration architectures and operational procedures
Demonstrated experience in performing data migrations and database application upgrades from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g or 11g
Creative problem solving skills

Highly desired abilities:
Experienced in MySQL, MS SQL, Postgres and Mongo DB
DevOps tools - Chef, Puppet, Ansible or vRelease Automation
