Who is Maranatha-Carlisle? We are a 501.c.3 organization, serving as a financial ministry in the Cumberland and Perry County area. We assist those who are most vulnerable in our community by providing them with sound financial management services. These services enable our clients to maintain financial stability while living independently. Many of our clients have mental health illness, intellectual disabilities, or are elderly. Most of our clients have a very limited income, and with the Maranatha team managing their money wisely, they can focus on treatment and other important things that enhance their quality of life.

Position Title: Account Manager

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. There are occasions when additional hours may be needed. As this is a part-time position, we do not offer benefits.

Duties: This position maintains individual client accounts, utilizing a computer application that stores information specific to each client, along with their income, bills and all transactions. The incumbent of the position receives client bills, reviews and evaluates them against the client balance, and processes them for payment.

Receives requests from clients or their case managers for funds that are not part of their regular monthly bills and evaluates as to whether there is funding available to pay. If so, enters a check into the system for processing on the date for which the check is written to pay.

Confers with the Social Services Team or Executive Director on unusual situations.

When checks are run (daily), assembles the checks for mailing or client/case manager pickup.

Reviews client account information on a periodic basis to ensure funding is available to pay monthly bills/expenses, including food and personal needs allowances; and coordinates any changes in payment amounts with client’s case manager.

Communicates with landlords, cable and utility companies, car insurance companies, car lenders, auto repair facilities; or other entities as needed to discuss payments or payment plans.

Attends meetings with clients and case managers as needed to review account and spending information.

Attends monthly staff meetings.

Performs scanning duties as required.


Must be able to work well with many different types of people (colleagues, vendors, clients and case managers) possessing strong relationship management skills.

A positive attitude is a must; along with a value-driven work ethic.

Must be efficient with details and numbers in a fast-paced environment.

Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with managing finances is desired, but not completely necessary. We hire for attitude and train for skill.
