Job Title: Server Systems Administrator III
Under the general direction of the IS Infrastructure & Security Manager, provides tier 3 (expert level) support of Information Technology server, storage, and virtual infrastructure systems. Serves as a senior resource and technical lead in Information Services (IS) projects. Provides support for day to day issues and requests escalated to the server team. Assists the IS Infrastructure & Security Manager and the Technology Director in the design of new systems, development of new standards, and the identification/integration of new technology solutions.
Bachelors Computer Science Preferred

5 - 7 Years Required Enterprise server hardware (HP, Dell)
5 - 7 Years Required Enterprise storage systems (HP 3Par, EMC)
5 - 7 Years Required Windows Server OS (2008-current)
5 - 7 Years Required VMWare vSphere/vCenter 6.x and above
Advanced knowledge of VDI environments (VMWare Horizon) and Microsoft Exchange server environments preferred.
License & Certification
Must possess one or more advanced industry certifications such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or VMware VCP/VCAP
Core Job Functions
Server Admin - Technical Lead on Enterprise Technology
Technical lead in the design and architecture of new technologies/solutions.
Identifies and implements enterprise infrastructure systems that enables the health system to fulfill its mission.
Leads technology projects and serves as a senior technical resource on other projects. Completes projects tasks on-time and attends and participates in required meetings.
Provides project status reports to the IS Management Team and IS Project Manager.
Attends meetings on behalf of the team and the Director or Technology.
Server Admin - Infrastructure and Systems Support - Level 3
Senior/Expert level technical resource who demonstrates mastery in several technologies.
Assists in the development of procedures, instructions, and guidelines to perform functions related to installing and managing enterprise information systems.
Installs, configures, and maintains organizations technology infrastructure.
Participates in routine downtime activities and other after hours and weekend work as needed.
Server Admin - System Performance and Information Security
Ensures security patches are installed with minimal impact to users and ensures new antivirus definitions are deployed in a timely manner.
Continuously measures and monitors infrastructure resources that affect security, performance, and availability of Information Technology systems.
Performs system backups and tests restores.
Forecasts when additional infrastructure purchases are needed and participates in the procurement process.
Ensures license compliance through careful planning and deployment of new technologies as to not install/deploy/use any software that has not been purchased or licensed appropriately.
Server Admin - Documentation, Policies, and Procedures
Participates in the development and management of policies and procedures related to infrastructure and computer use.
Maintains library of manuals to support software and hardware, ensures infrastructure and related systems documentation is current and accurate at all times, and ensures accurate inventories of IS assets are maintained.
Documents all changes to production systems and services as part of the change management process.
Server Admin - Other Competencies
Works regularly with Protected Health Information, which is restricted to specific persons.
Participates in professional development activities and periodically attends continuing education courses
