A well-qualified applicant will have the following characteristics: 1) ability to work both independently and collaboratively; 2) excellent interpersonal skills including developed written and oral communication; 3) detail- and priority-oriented; and 4) the ability and agility to move comfortably between tasks and projects. Experience with a variety of computer programs is required, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn data management and practice management systems. Interest in the business of clinical mental health services, private practice and psychotherapy is recommended.
Daily and weekly tasks include:
-Respond to patient inquiries with warmth
-Scheduling patient and business appointments promptly, and following through to assure satisfaction
-Setting up and maintaining databases and spreadsheets for a variety of purposes
-Participate in tracking key metrics for the practice
- Setting up and organizing patient charts and filing forms
-Payment processing through practice management system
-Handle correspondence via email or text
-Make phone calls to insurance companies to recover funds and resolve billing issues
-Collaborate with insurance company agents, website consultant, and other business partners
-Assist with organizing and running groups with pre-teens, teens and/or young adults
-Assist with graded exposure techniques and escort clients in the community to “face fears”
-Interact with children and siblings while at the clinic
-Assist in executing current marketing plan
-Propose and develop fresh ideas to expand current marketing efforts
-Assist with presentations, press releases, e-mail campaigns, blogging, and internet marketing strategies
-Maintain and assist with clinical practice website.
