Full Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience working in the tech industry and domain knowledge in online fraud/spam/abuse analysis and controversial content.
3 years of experience in data analysis with SQL-like and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
Strong product, market and policy knowledge across multiple Google products
Strong problem solving, project management, and prioritization skills with attention to detail and focus on getting things done. High ability to collaborate and thrive in ambiguity
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to influence multiple stakeholders at various levels. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with proven track record of driving results.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
The Trust & Safety Emerging Trends team is focused on identifying new threats and trends that may pose harm to Google’s brand and our users. As an Emerging Trends analyst, your responsibility is to conduct investigations on disinformation and other abuse topics. You identify and investigate emerging abuse trends, perform deep dives and identify mitigations of abuse vectors. You’re an expert in online abuse, a strong collaborator who is technically savvy and an excellent communicator. In your role, you will collaborate with cross-functional partner teams across Google (Product, Legal, Operations and Engineering teams).

Perform analysis, deep-dives and case studies on abuse vectors and trends on Google products.
Surface actionable insight, communicate effectively to influence and guide larger, cross-functional working groups towards solutions.
Design and implement operational processes to advance and support cross-product operations.
Assess and experiment with different (technical) approaches and workflows to identify a scalable/stable state.
Effectively partner with teams in Trust & Safety and across Google to generate mitigation strategies.
