Primary responsibility is to assist in the development of new business leads, including researching industries, and uncovering current client and prospect interests, needs and critical success factors. Collect, organize, and calendar information on relevant industry news, events, and publications. Research and report on industry and market trends to aid in the coordination and implementation of the Firm’s business development strategy in conjunction with the Managing Principals, Principals, and Studio leaders. Continue involvement throughout the balance of the sales process to maintain continuity of communication and relationship with the prospect. Coordinate business development efforts by working with Principals to organize weekly Business Development meetings, introductions, and presentations. Collaborate with technical staff on the assembly and coordination of proposals and presentations. Assist in identifying and evaluating event opportunities consistent with the Firm’s strategic plans to get in front of clients and prospects. Coordinate all client engagement efforts including RFQs and RFP’s with the Marketing department to ensure efforts are synchronized across business development support services. Facilitate the preparation of annual revenue forecasts as well as the of annual expense budget. Other related tasks as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
2-3 years of technical lead finding; demonstrated experience in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Engineering strongly preferred.
Knowledge of appropriate marketing and business development methods, processes, and tools.
Developing written and oral communication skills with an ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Previous experience with client management strongly desired.
Strong organizational skills.
Proactive team player with upstanding professional demeanor.
Some travel and evening events may be required.
Consultative sales training desired.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively across all disciplines; strong relationship building skills.
