IT is a group of specialized professionals providing services to Intel’s Engineering, Manufacturing, and Corporate teams to sustain and maintain their work environments. IT participates in resolving customer issues and identifying and implementing system administration process improvements, including automation.

As a Windows/Unix Engineer your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory automation systems.
Coordinates customer's infrastructure requirements, maps them to systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions.
Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems.
Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
Position may include scripting and/or managing support and monitoring tools.
In addition the ideal candidate should also have the following behavioral traits:

You must possess the below education and minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or any other related field.
Willing to work on a 1 year temporary position.
High degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system support.
Experience in SAN platforms (EMC VMAX, HP EVA, 3Par, etc.).
Strong understanding of network technologies & IP stack (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.).

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
