Job Description: Marketing Manager, Student Memberships

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to help drive our education strategy - to lead our professor and school marketing campaigns to further our mission to become the foremost membership for ambitious students. The role will report into the Marketing Director, Education & Students.

The Marketing Manager will create and oversee marketing briefs, manage global multi channel marketing campaigns and own key academic partnerships to drive WSJ student membership growth.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years experience working in marketing, delivering successful global campaigns and manage multiple agencies to drive results and brand affinity, ideally in the academic market.

Responsibilities

To support the Marketing Director by managing global professor and school marketing campaigns to drive consideration and action amongst professors, faculty and staff resulting in Wall Street Journal student subscriptions
To own all sales marketing materials for the Student Memberships sales team.
To own the professor marketing strategy annually, proactively planning and executing throughout the school year, ensuring professors are engaged with the WSJ and encouraging their students to use their WSJ membership.
To represent the WSJ at relevant academic industry conferences and events.
To analyze market trends and competitors to create ideas which shape the student strategy
Qualifications/Requirements

A minimum of three years experience working in marketing, with a focus on briefing, executing and monitoring marketing campaigns
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
An interest in media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the marketing industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident presenter
Creative thinker, ability to provide feedback to agencies to produce work in line with an agreed brief and objectives.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
