Entity and activity description
Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

Job Responsibilities
This position is based in Houston, TX or an LI OnSites plant location and is responsible for the successful management of the LI OnSites reliability initiatives. This position is a leader in safety and in helping plant personnel identify and execute reliability projects in the business unit.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work well with people across the United States and to support continuous improvement of reliability in the LI OnSites facilities. The successful candidate must be a solution orientated person who will drive initiatives and projects to closure in a timely and effective manner.

Comply with all Air Liquide policies including Responsible Care
Responsible for preventative maintenance and reliability program for rotating/stationary equipment
Responsible for framing up sound/economically viable repair vs. replacement recommendations and updating equipment reliability strategies; owns assigned fixed equipment standards; participates in their continual improvement
Lead Critical Spare Parts initiative for the business unit
Ability to perform failure analysis; conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations
Prepare monthly report of key reliability metrics and associated analysis; lead monthly reliability call with facilities
Perform Vulnerability Studies and ensure follow up on identified actions
Develop preventative/predictive maintenance schedules, procedures and program
Train/coach Maintenance and Operations personnel in reliability centered maintenance using the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Create, review and approve job plans and PMs in the CMMS necessary to improve reliability
Create equipment component repair specifications necessary to improve reliability
Knowledge/experience related to pressure vessels, piping, exchangers and factors that affect the reliability of fixed equipment
Understand/use equipment standards and ASME codes
Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues; support major equipment repairs/failure analysis with engineering expertise
Issue technical reports at the conclusion of major equipment repairs and upgrades as applicable
Assist plant managers in the investigation of operational incidents, development of corrective/preventive actions
Assist planners/other reliability center personnel in the generation of equipment overhaul inspection criteria
Generate equipment maintenance strategies (predictive/preventive) based upon reliability study results
Modify maintenance strategies as necessary based upon the RCFA results
Create work orders for all action items recommended in the RCFA documents
Lead maintenance and equipment audits as dictated
Understand SIO, how it will impact LI OnSites, and assist in implementation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
4+ years of operational or engineering experience
Technical expertise in operation, enhancement and maintenance; preferably of Air Separation Units
Successfully interfaces with plant personnel, maintenance personnel, and the zone engineering team
Extensive working knowledge of Maximo for CMMS
Ability to track and measure progress versus objectives, taking action to close gaps
Demonstrates professional integrity at all times in the performance of duties
Ability to work within both the formal and informal organization to communicate area needs, obtain assistance and to resolve issues
Ability to coordinate/change methods of thinking to conform to goals set by management
Knowledge of implementing/participating in continuous improvement procedures
Excellent planning, organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate interpersonal skills
Demonstrate ability to work with and communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of company personnel
Understanding of Level I Vibration Analysis
Extensive working knowledge of machinery, process equipment and associated maintenance practices
Solution-oriented; excellent analytical, troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of safety, code and regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements

Physical range of motion required to climb/descend ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces at heights above 50 feet; inspect equipment in high elevation areas (cooling tower fans, gearboxes, Fin Fans, compressor decks, etc)
Has full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs
Able to enter confined spaces for inspection/testing while wearing fall restraint and respirators
Ability to travel as needed and on short notice if necessary
Can be consulted 24/7 by Plant Managers and Reliability Center personnel
