The Nakata lab at the Children’s Nutrition Research Center seeks to understand the factors regulating the nutritional quality and productivity of edible plants. The lab is looking for a reliable, methodical, and conscientious part-time laboratory helper to perform tasks in support of the investigations into these regulatory factors. Direct participation in research projects is possible depending on the applicant’s ability and desire.

Washes and sterilizes glassware and other equipment.

Prepares standard solutions and plant culture media.

Conducts greenhouse work (e.g., harvesting of seeds, planting of seeds, and watering of plants).

High School diploma or GED.

No experience required.
