Who you are:
As a member of our Search Engine Optimization team, the SEO Specialist will work on the technical and content aspects of SEO to improve keyword rankings and user experience for our clients. You ideally enjoy gathering and analyzing information, executing tactical and content elements of SEO, and sharing your results with clients. This role blends strategy and execution and is perfect for someone who likes driving real results.
What you’ll get to do:
Conduct SEO and backlink audits
Review competitor backlinks to find common patterns
Conduct keyword research on behalf of a set of diverse candidates and their competitors
Execute a content strategy and optimize current and future blog content
Review the technical aspects of specific pages and determine strategies to improve page speed, search visibility, etc.
Create a plan for internal linking strategies
Research and op
Optimize client knowledge graphs and open graphs
Research rich snippets and find opportunities for your clients
Dive into Google Analytics and other platforms to ensure we are making data-based SEO decisions for our clients
Regularly compile client reports
Share SEO findings and strategies with clients via regular update calls and in-person meetings
Skills we’re looking for:
A deep understanding of technical SEO best practices, keyword research, information architecture, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
Previous experience working with the content side of SEO, including optimizing blogs
SEO expertise in on-site optimization, including meta tags, site architecture, internal linking, schema, sitemaps, load speed, URL paths etc.
Ability to review and analyze client and internal sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, or revised to increase performance.
Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
Experience working in Google and Bing Webmasters.
Ability to create custom reports for each client to best present the SEO work being done, as well as highlight insights and strategic recommendations.
Expert knowledge of white hat and black hat tactics.
Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, and Sitebulb.
Ability to think critically to make process improvements and efficiencies.
Preferred but not necessary:
Strong experience with WordPress and/or Drupal
Previous agency/client experience, previous experience working with clients in the education space.
