As an ambassador of Eataly products and services, the Assistant General Manager of our Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively engage and spend quality time with guests. The QSR AGM addresses guest incidents and complaints and directs escalated issues to the appropriate outlet.
The ideal QSR Assistant Manager will be a natural leader who will support, motivate, guide, and educate the team. He or she will spend the majority of his or her shift on the sales floor. He or she will assist in the training and development of QSR Floor Managers, and Sales Associates to ensure staff are fully versed on processes, procedures and providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for someone who will aide in managing customer and employee relations, facilitating in high hospitality standards. Other job responsibilites will also include documenting, investigating and resolving employee and guest incidents including guest complaints and will direct escalated issues to the appropriate outlet.
You would be responsible for assisting and overseeing the operation of all ten Quick Service Counters, and Coffee Bars within our Eataly store. You would be a part of the management team that helps this division meet Eataly’s targets while adhering to our mission, values, and policies.The aim of the QSR AGM is to ensure food quality standards and guest engagement standards are consistently met, counters are merchandised for profitability, and promotions are executed accurately.
Additional responsibility will include ordering or requisitioning supplies and merchandise for his/her department(s). Manage staff to ensure they are fully versed on department and Eataly goals and that employee development is a priority.
1.Works closely with the GM in all aspects of management including administrative and financial duties. Monitors budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations. Acts to correct any deviations from the budget. May use computer for review and analysis of information.
2.Estimates food and beverage needs, and requisitions or purchases supplies, beverages, and equipment. Receives and checks orders to ensure that they adhere to specifications.
3.Supervises cleaning and maintenance of equipment, and arranges for repairs, contracts, and other services
4.Inspects QSR counters and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
5.Assisting the GM with duties such as hiring, assignment, training, motivation, evaluation and termination of personnel.
6.Documents, investigates and resolves all employee and guest incidents including guest complaints and directs escalated issues to the appropriate outlet.
7.Send daily shift notes to recap events to the QSR General Manager
8.Make schedules and submit payroll for staff with the approval of the QSR GM.
At least 5 years of experience supervising a retail and/or restaurant operation and staff required. Experience and knowledge in coffee, coffee production, and manual espresso machines preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Degree from a post-secondary restaurant management or hospitality program preferred
Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight hours in length and can lift 20 pounds frequently.
Ability to effectively communicate with guest and staff and multitask in a high volume, fast paced environment.
