SR. Metal Fabrication Sales & Estimation
We sell Aluminum, Stainless and Steel products. Inside/Outside management of quotes, sales and project management in commercial and highway construction markets.
Qualifications:
2+ years in blueprint reading for miscellaneous metal, ornamental metal and structural metal fabricated products in aluminum, stainless and steel
2+ years of experience in takeoffs and quoting in bid form using computer software
2+ years of working in a fab shop or on a construction jobsite
Abilities include the following:
Learn equipment capabilities
Read General Notes and identify risks by project scope
Communicate customer expectations
Duties include the following:
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, shop drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Identify and calculate costs for labor, material, and time requirements.
Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors as part of proposal process.
Read blueprints, general notes, qualifications, shop drawings and technical documents to prepare estimates.
Prepare subcontractor bid packages.
Submit bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
Upon award of a project, hold handoff meeting to project manager & team.
Manage Change Orders as necessary.
