Dinsmore is seeking a section 103 tax associate to join our national public finance practice. This position can be located in any of the firm’s offices in California; Colorado; Connecticut; Georgia; Illinois; Kentucky; Michigan; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; or West Virginia. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in municipal finance. Responsibilities include the following: drafting tax documents and forms; ensuring all tax-advantaged financings for which Dinsmore serves as counsel satisfy the federal tax requirements and conform to all federal tax restrictions; advising transactional attorneys within the firm of the federal tax requirements related to tax-advantaged financings; brainstorming solutions to tax problems; advising issuers and conduit borrowers with respect to rebate and other arbitrage compliance matters; serving as counsel to issuers and conduit borrowers during examinations of bond issues by the IRS; and serving as counsel to issuers and borrowers seeking guidance from the U.S. Treasury and the IRS.
All candidates should be licensed to practice, have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
