Good Shepherd Penn Partners is searching for a Lymphedema focused Senior II Physical Therapist for our University City location in Philadelphia.

Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP) is the "Premier Provider of Therapy Services throughout Penn Medicine." GSPP is a joint venture between Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network and Penn Medicine. The Penn Therapy and Fitness sites are the outpatient therapy practices of GSPP.

As a Lymphedema Senior II Physical Therapist you will work collaboratively with other members of an interdisciplinary team by delivering superior oversight of patient care by developing a plan of care for each patient in a state-of-the-art outpatient setting. You will confer with the patient, medical practitioners and others to plan, implement and assess the intervention program by evaluating and treating patients with a variety of lymphatic and vascular related diagnoses including primary and secondary lymphedema and cancer related diagnoses.

In addition you will:

  • Treat Cancer related fatigue
  • Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer
  • Teach SABC exercise program (strength after breast cancer)
  • Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals
  • Participate in monthly Lymph SIG
  • Measure, Select, and Order compression garments and bandage alternatives
  • Mentor as needed for this fast paced specialized clinic
  • Supervise, train and assess therapy students during onsite clinical affiliations
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences
  • Prepare and deliver lectures to therapy students at area academic programs on topics in area of clinical expertise

  • Minimum four years clinical experience required, with a lymphedema focus. Must be a competent generalist and demonstrate advanced clinical skills in one or more areas
  • Experience treating primary and secondary lymphedema of the upper and lower extremities, as well as lymphedema located in the trunk, genitals and head/neck preferred
  • BS or MS in Physical Therapy from CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • CPR Certification, Pennsylvania and New Jersey physical therapist licensure or eligible
  • Certification in CDT/MLD – minimum 135-hour training course, qualifying as a CLT
  • LANA certification is a plus
  • Interest in wound care is a plus
