Currently, we are seeking a talented Director & Actuary to join the Life Insurance Division in Aliso Viejo, CA or Omaha, NE..
The Life Insurance Division works with financial and insurance professionals to give families and businesses the life insurance coverage needed to help meet important financial protection, wealth accumulation, and wealth preservation goals.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Life Divisions Reinsurance Department is seeking an energetic individual looking for an opportunity to participate in the challenge of managing the changing reinsurance landscape. The position is responsible for the execution of LIDs reinsurance and retention strategy in support of LIDs objections including execution new treaties and monitoring the inforce program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The evaluation of complex legacy reinsurance arrangements to understand their future value and cost
The evaluation and recommendation of new reinsurance arrangements supporting new business strategy
Monitoring insurance and reinsurance market conditions, developing solutions to address the shifting landscape and successfully gaining buy in from senior management
Lead projects that will include coordination with other stakeholders across the organization, such as Risk Selection, Product Design, Underwriting and Corporate
Manage and develop a small staff of actuaries
Lead build out of reinsurance data analytics capabilities, recommending tools and best processes

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
9+ years of life insurance and/or reinsurance experience, at least half of which has been in pricing/new business/inforce management role(s).
Strong influencing skills and ability to work successfully with many different stakeholders.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to tailor approach to the audience.
Track record of effectively managing a team with proven ability to develop talent.
Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
