HARDSCAPE FOREMAN

Our hardscape division is seeking a qualified individual to perform the duties of HARDSCAPE FOREMAN.
The hardscape foreman is an experienced employee in construction, basic electricity, basic plumbing, and works with minimal supervision. This position directs the activities of a team of two or more in the construction of paver patios, retaining walls, and associated landscapes.

We provide a full line of quality professional landscaping construction and maintenance services as well as supply of materials in Lancaster, Dauphin, Lebanon and York counties. Our success is the result of working closely with individual clients, property management companies, architects and planners to provide services ranging from weekly lawn and landscape bed maintenance to full scale landscape design and installation of paver patios & walkways, ponds and retaining walls.
Job Duties:
- Execution of proper installation procedures for paver patios and retaining walls using varying products and materials
- Reading and understanding designs and schematics of projects
- Understanding elevations and dimensions and using this knowledge to implement the construction designs
- The ability to work within the scope of estimates for projects and to establish daily goals with your crew to meet or beat project estimates
- Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available at all times
- Leads and is responsible for employee performance and conduct while maintaining jobsite professionalism and safety
- Routinely interacts with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to client’s requests, making reasonable changes to the plan, and providing a walk-through at the job’s completion
- Learns basic local zoning rules and regulations regarding electric, plumbing, lighting, and other aspects of hardscape projects so you can effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, or township officials regarding the project
- Completes the necessary paperwork including timesheets, work orders, change orders, material receipts, and crew member activities and performance
- Reports at the end of day to supervisor on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns.
- Helps with snow removal or other projects during the winter months.
- Able to perform other duties outside of the listed job duties and qualifications
Key Deliverables:
- Precision and craftsmanship must meet a 95% client approval score
- Completion of projects within 10% of estimated time
- Utilization of materials within 10% of estimated totals
- Daily reporting to tracking systems
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License*
- Must have a cellular phone
- Must have your own reliable transportation to and from our operations site
- Must be able to drive truck and trailer combos
- Must be able to work in all seasons and varying weather conditions
- Must be able to pass test on equipment used in our hardscaping division
- Must be able to pass DOT Health Card screening
( * For insurance purposes, background checks on licenses are always performed.)
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in managing or training other employees
- Must be able to lift between 5lbs.–100lbs. regularly
- Know how to safely handle weights heavier than 100lbs.
- Knowledge of material types and measurements
- Willingness to receive additional training or classes as needed
- General knowledge of outdoor plumbing, electric, and low-voltage lighting installation
- Currently holds a valid DOT Health Card or CDL Class ‘A’ a plus but not required

- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codes
- Create and enforce employee schedules and construction timelines
- Document all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budget
