Central Health Medicare Plan is seeking a bilingual Member Service Representative who speaks fluent English and Vietnamese. Central Health Medicare Plan is a health insurance company that provides healthcare coverage to seniors and people with disabilities. The position involves working in a call center environment with frequent customer interaction and typing. Paid training is provided.
Variety of shifts available! M-F, Sun-TH, Tu-Sat, mornings, day, and evening shifts available. Full time only.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls with health plan members to explain benefits, answer questions, resolve issues, process member profile updates, intake complaints, and provide other general assistance
- Understanding the health plan’s policies and protocol for handling issues, escalating issues when necessary and providing timely feedback or notification to management of ongoing issues
- Maintaining detailed and accurate phone call logs using the company’s software
- Performing verbal and written translation and proofreading from English to Vietnamese and vice versa
- Other duties, projects, and actions as assigned
Job requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have high school degree or equivalent
- Must speak fluent English and Vietnamese
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate respect, patience, and helpfulness with customers and co-workers
- Must be responsible, detail-oriented, and professional
- Must understand and comply with HIPAA (patient privacy) regulations
- Prior experience in a customer service environment and/or familiarity with the medical/healthcare industry is preferred but not required
This position is on-site in our Diamond Bar office.
