SVG Solutions is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Chicago, IL.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the development of the Human Resources function and processes within an organization. This position will work closely with the Director of Human Resources and the Executive Director to ensure that all policies, procedures, and practices are in place to support a successful Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for developing and implementing a human resources program that is aligned with company goals and objectives. The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the leadership team, department managers, and employees to ensure that all policies, procedures, and practices are in place to support a successful Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities:
- Developing new human resources programs and reviewing and implementing new human resources policies and procedures
- Implementing recruitment, hiring, hiring decisions, termination of employment, employee relations issues, compensation decisions, recording time & hours, time insurance coverage
- Conducting performance appraisals for all employees
- Oversees time card system for HR staff as needed.
- Maintains employee records by providing training to staff and updating records as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; one to two years related experience preferred.
- Previous HR experience preferred; but willing to train the right person.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (written documentation is a must).
- Ability to build rapport with staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $58,192.64 - $70,081.46 per year
