Our Exciting Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and results oriented Lead RTL Feasibility Engineer to join Ericsson's ASIC SoC organization in Austin, Texas, a growing world-class semiconductor development organization whose charter is to help drive excellence in our 5G network products. Ericsson’s ASICs are the backbone of 5G networks. Our teams develop, test, and deliver various functional RTL blocks for integration into these ASICs. You will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate your competence in RTL design microarchitecture and implementation. You will participate as a technical mentor of a dynamic team where there will be opportunities to try out new roles as we continue to grow.

Skills Needed for Success:

Expertise in RTL design micro architecture and implementation
-
RTL coding and implementation experience with arithmetic functions and algorithms
-
Must understand RTL design tradeoffs for power, timing, and area.

Previous experience in providing RTL feasibility feedback to design teams
-
Knowledge of the full end to end RTL to GDS design.

Advanced knowledge of logic synthesis tools, design recipes, and optimizing key design metrics
- All aspects of place and route implementation: Synthesis, placement, clocking, routing
-
All aspects of signoff to tapeout: Extraction, static timing, power, power integrity, physical verification, and ECO

Previous experience as a lead, technical manager, or mentor to junior engineers and interns/co-ops and willing to develop a small team of physical designers

Expert understanding of advanced process node physical design methodology and PDKs

Knowledge of multiple methods and strategy for clock tree implementation

Strong coding skills in System Verilog, TCL and python. VHDL also preferred

Experienced in working with EDA vendors’ R&D and AE teams
Additional Preferred Skills:

RTL, spyglass, lec/formal, gate sim, upf/vclp, integration/physical partitioning, functional eco
- Ability to drive PPA through best in class design methodology and design recipes for synthesis and RTL feedback.

Ability to analyze data trends, knowledge of databases and analytic tools

RTL/gate mapping, vector driven placement, leakage vt swap, resim, emulation
Preferred Educational Background:

Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
