10Coordinate cross-enterprise NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant (S10) submissions and application processes to maximize synergy and efficiency.Essential
10Develop and publish web resources for NIH and non-NIH federal grants.Essential
10Establish and maintain a range of customized datasets including databases and information resources for use in planning and preparing supporting materials for grant submissions.Essential
20Coordinate and manage professional development workshops, webinars, and informational sessions that aim to: inform the MUSC research community of up-to-date and relevant changes to federal guidelines; educate faculty, academic staff, post-doctoral fellows, and students on successful grantsmanship strategies.Essential
20Work with Principal Investigators of multidisciplinary center grants, training/career development grants and shared instrumentation grants to develop and enhance the competitiveness of their research proposals, representing MUSC’s expertise as a performance site for federal grants and contracts.Essential
20Working with ORD team members, provide consultations and tailored advice on funding strategy development to MUSC investigators; develop and manage processes for matching faculty and program research areas with identified announcements and RFPs.Essential

Assistant Director of Research Development in the Office of Research Development. Will be responsible for supporting and enhancing MUSC’s center, research infrastructure, and training grant submissions. Will also educate the MUSC research community on best practices related to grant writing and application preparation.
