The DAVACO Superintendent reports to the Divisional Manager and General Superintendent. While on site the Superintendent reports to the assigned Project Manager. A superintendent is DAVACO’s representative at a construction site. The superintendent directs and coordinates the activities of the various trade groups such as Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Drywall Specialists, Painters, and Welders on site. Some responsibilities include making sure that the work progresses according to schedule, that material and equipment are delivered to the site on time, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another. The superintendent supervises all these activities by talking with and directing the foremen for the different trades or craft workers. These Lead Foremen and their workers may be employed by DAVACO, Inc.

Job Summary

The Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects.


  • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities
  • Thoroughly understand projects floor plans, fixture placement, blue prints, and construction codes as affected by local and state ordinances
  • Previous experience pulling permits
  • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to the original plans and specifications
  • Reviews scope of work for contracts issued
  • Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process
  • Understands the project plan and specifications
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, temps and other employees
  • Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of final punch list
  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately
  • Track change orders and complete required reporting and maintains an organized job site and daily log
  • Must work closely with Project Manager & Coordinator to assure all Change Orders and RFIs are kept up with and distributed in a timely manner
  • Quality control check on assigned projects
  • Provide project managers timely evaluations of field employees upon completion of projects

  • Commercial Experience highly preferred
  • 5+ years of successful project superintendent
  • Well Organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet
  • Proficient in use of smart phone
  • Candidates must be willing to travel
  • Provide Project Manager timely evaluations on DAVACO field employees upon completion of projects.
