Zurka Interactive is expanding our team at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. The candidate will be part of a team working on-site managing IT services on unclassified and classified networks for 5,000 users and will be working with a variety of technologies in a heterogeneous computing environment.
We’re looking for a smart, motivated person with a couple of years of experience who want to build things and collaborate with a team of like-minded, easy-to-get-along-with individuals.
Back-to-front experience with the web is essential, along with competence with object-oriented programming. We’re a LAMP stack shop, with the P being PHP, and we are committed to Drupal and Laravel. If you are experienced with OOP and eager to learn, this could be the place for you to flourish regardless of what you know today.
We prefer candidates with a bachelors degree. A four-year computer science degree, a degree in information science or an engineering degree in a technical field gets our attention although relevant experience can substitute for formal training. The best candidates are passionate about what they do, eager to contribute to the team and are easy to get along with.
We value learning, new ideas, and creative solutions. The deadlines are realistic and developers have a wide latitude to explore technologies and techniques.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD security clearance (minimum Secret).
Benefits include competitive compensation, health insurance, 401k, paid vacation, all federal holidays (yes, even Columbus Day), casual dress, a flexible work schedule, top notch equipment and a smart, pleasant group of people to work with.
